ALI SOUALAH - FORMER DIRECTOR
I sicerely regret to inform the entire GLISS community (Staff, Parents and Students) that today (11/09/09) I am going to Hand over my duties as the director of the school, as you might have heard informally. This resignation is due to circumstances beyond my control that necessitated my immediate and urgent return to my country (Algeria).

The Annual Teacher’s Award 2007 / 2008 |

For the past five years, Ghana-Lebanon Islamic Secondary School has been awarding its teachers in order to motivate them to work hard. This year is however no exception. The school spent GH¢ 6,000 awarding the teachers.
The following were the categories under which the teachers were awarded:
1. Best Teacher SHS and JHS.
2. Best Form Master SHS and JHS
3. Best Head of Department SHS
4. Best Subject performance BECE and WASSCE 2008

On Wednesday, December 24 2008 at the Aviation Social Center, GLISS wins GOLD at the 6th annual choice ball tournament, the basketball team of Ghana-Lebanon Islamic Secondary School (GLISS), an Islamic mission school situated at Circle Accra, was the toast of the over 30 schools that participated in the this year’s “Choice Ball” basket ball tournament organized by Choice FM – an Accra based private radio station in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Science and Sports.

The school is undergoing a construction of a new educational block of 18 classrooms (of a capacity of 540 students) and 06 offices (Click on the left picture to see project pictures and architectural drawings).
Financial support from philanthropists is needed to finish the project.
